The kickoff meeting of the national key research and development project "High Dimensional Identification and Functional Network of Protein Modification Group" was held at JNU on Oct. 7. Prof. He Qingyu, dean of the College of Life Science and Technology, is the chief scientist of this project. Nearly 30 project leaders, experts and key scientific researchers from Fudan University, Tsinghua University and Beijing Proteome Research Center attended the meeting.
The team members will work to complement one another and jointly tackle key issues. They will establish a strategy for large-scale identification of new protein post-translational modifications and large-scale enzyme substrate signaling pathway high dimensional interaction analysis technology. In the field of multidimensional protein post-translational modification, the goal is to achieve theoretical and technical innovation and breakthroughs with universal scientific value. Through the verification of yeast cells, the identification of new tumor antigen and novel protein post-translational modifications involved in tumor immune regulation provides a basis for diagnosis and treatment of tumors and new drug research and development.
As the first national key research and development project organized by JNU as the chief scientific unit, this project is another important achievement in JNU's construction as a high-level university.
