The "Foreign Eyes on China" program of Global News on GDTV had a special report on Oct. 18 titled "Learning Cantonese Opera，Foreigners Experiences the Heritage of Chinese Culture". It reported on Cantonese Cultural Experience and Teaching Practice Base for International Students, a program jointly established by Jinan University and the Guangdong Cantonese Opera House. Through the eyes of an American student at Jinan University, the report introduced the experience program and Cantonese opera to promote Chinese culture to the outside world.

The cooperation between JNU and the opera house has gradually intensified, and they have jointly established the practice base. To improve international students' Cantonese，and to acquaint them with Cantonese opera and excellent Chinese traditional cultures, they have carried out more than 100 activities, including "Cantonese Opera on Campus", "Students in the Opera House" and "International Students Performing Cantonese Opera".
