Prof. Scott Snyder, vice president of the University of Nebraska at Omaha, visited Jinan University on Sept. 20, meeting with JNU Vice President Song Xianzhong.
Both universities introduced their history and development, and they explored the possibility of cooperating in medicine, pharmacy, computer science and other fields of research. Song noted that health care would be a popular future research area for China and the world, and that it would be of great significance if JNU's College of Medicine and College of Pharmacy could collaborate with the medical center in Omaha. He also expressed hope of sending JNU graduate students majoring in medicine and pharmacy to study and intern there.
This was Snyder's second visit to JNU in the last six months. On behalf of the University of Nebraska at Omaha and the medical center, he expressed his great interest in establishing a cooperative relationship with Jinan University. Having worked with the China Scholarship Council, Tongji University and Capital Medical University in the past, he said, both look forward to collaborating with JNU as well.
