JNU's competitiveness in graduate education ranked 49th among the top 100 China universities in the Evaluation Report on China Graduate Education and Disciplines issued in September by the Research Center for China Science Evaluation and the Network of Science and Education Evaluation in China (www.nseac.com), together with the Evaluation Center for China Education Quality.

The ranking covered 574 institutions of graduate education. The report published relative rankings of 31 regions, including provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities, and 10 types of universities (comprehensive, science and engineering, agriculture and forestry, medical, finance and economics, grammar, normal universities, ethnic, art and sports) in a comparative analysis of universities in the same province, autonomous region or municipality, or of similar type.
