Jinan University received seven post-funding projects of the National Social Science Fund of China on Sept. 20, ranking fifth in China and first in Guangdong.

The research subjects in the projects are world history, Chinese literature, linguistics, journalism and communication, and pedagogy. The College of Journalism and Communication has two projects; the College of Chinese Language and Culture, School of International Studies/Academy of Overseas Chinese Studies, School of Marxism, College of Liberal Arts and Center for Mental Health Education have one each. 

Post-funding projects, one of the fund's main categories, support outstanding academic achievements in the humanities and social science studies that are almost finished (over 80%) and unpublished.
