Three JNU teams won top prizes in the 10th National College Student Information Security Contest (Entry Contest) Final at Xi'an University of Science and Technology, which concluded on July 30. The teams, directed by Prof. Weng Jian of the College of Information Science and Technology/College of Cyber Security of Jinan University, won first, second and third prizes in the final contest. It was the first time a Guangdong university had won first prize in the contest.
The entry "Blockchain-Based Security Crowdsourcing System" (contestants: Zhang Bincheng, Tan Wenxuan, Chen Jiebin and Lin Yue) won first prize. "Blockchain-Based Digital Copyright Protection Product Innovation" (contestants: Chen Dinghao, Huang Youpei, Wen Haixian) and "Blockchain-Based Security APP Ecosystem" (contestants: Lin Weicong, Chen Guanlin, Zhong Junlun and Miyamatsu Yoshiryu) won second and third prizes.

The contest, a grade-A Chinese competition, is hosted by the National Information Security Teaching Advisory Committee under the Ministry of Education, with the guidance of the Department of Higher Education and the Information Security Coordination Division of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. More than 500 teams, from schools including Tsinghua University and Shanghai Jiao Tong University, participated, and over 200 teams went to the finals.
