To celebrate the 20th anniversary of Hong Kong's return to China, a seminar titled "Innovative Cooperation: Hong Kong's Localization and Transformation Under the ‘One Belt and One Road’Strategy" was held at JNU on June 11. The seminar was sponsored by the College of Economics and the Jingwei Center for Economic Research on Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau. It was organized by the Special Zone-Hong Kong-Macau Economic Research Institute and the Research Center for the Industrial Development of Guangdong Regional Cooperation with Hong Kong, Macau and Tai Wai. It was also supported by Advanced Institute for Contemporary China Studies at Hong Kong Baptist University.
More than 100 political, educational and entrepreneurial representatives of renowned universities, research institutions, journals and enterprises took part. They included the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council, the Hong Kong and Macao Office of the State Council, the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Hong Kong University, Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Baptist University, the Hong Kong "One Country, Two Systems" Research Center, the Hong Kong China Chamber of Commerce, the Macau Economic Association, the Guangdong Academy of Social Sciences, Sun Yat-sen University, Jinan University, Shanghai University, Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, Li & Fung Development China Ltd., the journal of Chinese Industrial Economics, Economics Information and Xinhua Digest.
