The finals of the Internet+ Innovation and Venture Contest were held on JNU's south campus on June 3. The team of students from JNU's School of Basic Medical Sciences and School of Life Science and Technology won first prize with its project focusing on developing and using products for skin regeneration and duplication by stem cell.

Another JNU's team project Yi Feng Qi, an interactive platform for translation and think-tank activities, has set up its own company certified by Baidu, developed an official WeChat account and bulletin board system, and established a relationship of mutual benefit with other companies. Translating 1,000 words every 15 minutes, it extends its industrial chain by cooperating with publishing and printing industries.

Contest judges were Zhang Yaohui, dean of JNU's Entrepreneurship Academy; Liang Yaozhang, founder of Chengcun Joint Investment Company; Guo Zhenying, a partner and founder of 3N Technology Venture Capital Company; Zhong Chengwu, expert advisor to Xindao Technology Co. Ltd. in Guangdong; Chen Yongqing, director of teaching and training at South China Agricultural University's Innovation and Entrepreneurship Academy; and Cai Gengtian, CEO of Chuangxia Investment Consultation Co. Ltd. in Guangzhou.
The contest was being held for the third time. With the theme of "ushering in the new era of Internet+ and developing innovation and entrepreneurship," this year's contest kicked off in April and lasted two months. Supported by schools on JNU's Guangzhou, Zhuhai and Shenzhen campuses, the contest inspires students to explore a new generation of information technology, including the internet, big data, cloud exploration, artificial intelligence, and the internet of things. Innovative, practical and promising start-up plans and projects have sprung up through the contest. After the preliminary and intermediary rounds, 10 of the original 106 start-up teams were selected for the finals.
