Somchai Santiwatanakul, president of Srinakharinwirot University in Bangkok, and Prit Supasetsiri, its vice president for global affairs, led a delegation to JNU on May 19, meeting with JNU President Hu Jun. The two sides signed a memorandum of understanding for cooperation.
The memorandum is initially designed to set up student exchange programs in food science, agricultural science, and international journalism and mass communication, and to achieve credit recognition and tuition waiver between the two sides. JNU's International School offers multidisciplinary courses in English, providing diverse courses for students from Srinakharinwirot University. In addition to courses taught in English, Srinakharinwirot University offers JNU students support in learning Thai.
The two universities also discussed teacher exchange and agreed that the relevant colleges would coordinate and conduct an in-depth discussion of short courses after signing the agreement.
