Wu Ruiting, a JNU student majoring in international economy and trade, won the men's triple jump championship at the IAAF World Challenge meet in Kawasaki, Japan, on May 21. He set his personal record and became the event's record-holder with a distance of 17.18 meters.

The event was the season's second IAAF World Challenge meet. It has always been an important event for top Chinese athletes to measure the effectiveness of training and build up match fitness.
