At the invitation of educational institutions in Austria, Poland and Hungary, a JNU delegation headed by President Hu Jun traveled to 10 universities and institutions from March 30 to April 8. It visited the University of Vienna and the Chinese School of Vienna in Austria; the University of Warsaw, the Medical University of Warsaw, the Silk Road Foundation, the Council for Promoting Peaceful Reunification, the government of Lodz, the Medical University of Lodz, and the University of Social Sciences of Lodz in Poland; and Corvinus University in Hungary.
Taking educational exchange as a bond, the delegation aims to unite first-class universities and world-renowned overseas Chinese associations in countries along the One Belt and One Road route. Further goals are to expand JNU’s influence in Eastern Europe and lay a solid foundation for deeper cooperation between JNU and educational institutions and overseas Chinese associations in those countries.
