Chen Aisen, a JNU undergraduate majoring in international economics and trade, won the gold medal in men's single 10-meter platform diving at the International Swimming Federation (FINA) Diving World Series in Kazan, Russia, on April 3. With a total score of 580.60, he won his third championship in this year's diving world series. He also won gold in synchronized 10-meter platform diving with his partner, Yang Hao, silver medalist in the single 10-meter platform. The two earned a total score of 462.57, 54 points more than the runner-up German divers.

Xie Siyi, another undergraduate in the same major, won the synchronized three-meter platform diving, scoring 458.82 together with his teammate, Cao Yuan, the gold medalist in men’s single three-meter platform diving at the 2016 Rio Olympics. This time Cao beat him in that event.
Chen has won gold in all his diving world series events in 2017. The series began in Beijing, where China claimed 9 of the 10 gold medals, and then moved to Guangzhou, where China swept all of them. The fourth event will be held in Windsor, Canada.
