Roberto Valdeón, an honorary professor at Jinan University, published a paper titled From translatology to studies in translation theory and practice in Perspectives: Studies in Translatology, a top journal in the field, in the name of JNU’s School of Translation Studies. The school has published three Level A1 academic papers in the last two years.

In the paper, Prof. Valdeón, an editor of translation journals, summarizes hot topics, developments and trends in international translation studies in the last 25 years, especially the rapid development of translation disciplines in China, Korea and Australia. Focusing on the research difficulties of international authoritative translation journals and problems of researchers in translation studies, he conducts quantitative analysis and makes predictions based on systematically collected data, finally making suggestions to solve some problems.
