JNU international students’ volunteers visited the Affiliated Kindergarten on March 15, 2017.
The volunteers played with the kids the game of vying to identify pictures first and taught them Indian dance and etc. These activities provided the kids with access to different cultures and enriched the volunteers’ experiences as well.
JNU international students’ volunteers group was established in April, 2016, when Indian international student Thamildasan of Grade 2013 collapsed into unconsciousness and was in urgent need of 180,000 RMB for operation. JNU teachers and students organized a campus donation and successfully collected 220,000 RMB within few days. Moved by the event, more than 300 Indian students of International College decided to establish an international students’ volunteers group to server for the community in token of their gratitude. The group is the first organized volunteers group which is entirely composed of international students.
