The first phase of Pearl River Scholar Forum, jointly organized by the Guangdong Department of Education (GDE) and JNU, launched at JNU on March 9, with more than 100 teachers and students from 14 colleges and universities in eight Guangdong cities attending.

The guest speaker, GaoHao, a distinguished professor at JNU among Pearl River Scholars and a member of Outstanding Youth,made an academicreport on “Practice and Reflection onChinese Medicine Efficacy of Natural Substances and Natural Products.” Ding Ke, dean of the School of Medicine and a member of Outstanding Youth, presided over the forum and introduced Gao’s academic research and teaching achievements.

The Pearl River Scholar Forum is a series of top-level forums jointly held by the GDE and universities. It aims to give full play to the leading, driving and radiating role of the Pearl River Scholars in personnel training and academic research, so that more young teachers and students may receive guidance from top experts and scholars.
