Six JNU professors are on the list of Most-Cited Chinese Researchers released on Feb. 27 by China Elsevier.com. They are Ye Wencai in pharmacology, Yin Zhinan in immunology, Zeng Yongping and Shao Min in environmental sciences, Yuan Hong in general engineering, and Cui Qi in neuroscience. The list honors more than 1,700 Chinese scholars with worldwide influence in 38 disciplines.
Elsevier is one of the world's largest publishers of scientific research. Its Scopus, which provides information for the Most-Cited Chinese Researchers, is regarded as the largest abstract and citation database of peer-reviewed literature. Scholars listed among the Most-Cited Chinese Researchers are first authors and corresponding authors of papers, and their research achievements rank at the top of their fields. The listing means they have great impact on their disciplines worldwide and their research results make great contributions to the development of those disciplines.
