JNU held China's first Technology Summit of VR Building and Rendering, sponsored by the School of Mechanical and Civil Engineering and the Guandong Institute of Urban Construction, on Nov. 26. With the theme of leading innovation, the future and a win-win situation, the summit invited business leaders, top designers and technical experts from the domestic construction industry and professionals in real estate, finance, operations and management to witness and share China's first spectacular event in building virtual reality.

Many academic experts on VR and industry insiders made keynote speeches. Leading technology manufacturers displayed VR products in the hall, and thousands of audience members participated in the VR technology experience. During the summit, many research centers and the School of Mechanical and Civil Engineering discussed jointly building a Building Information Modeling in Virtual Reality (BIM-VR) research center and conducting collaborative innovation, which would lay a solid foundation for the research on BIM-VR and the mutual promotion of production, study and research.
