The China-World University Presidents' Forum opened on Nov. 19 to celebrate the university's 110th anniversary. With the themes of "The Path and Pattern of Constructing a High-level University" and "One Belt, One Road and the Internationalization of Higher Education," nearly 40 university presidents, experts and professors from China and abroad discussed major issues in the development of higher education.

This forum, which included a keynote speech and two subforums on each theme, gave Chinese universities an opportunity to learn from advanced experience around the world and opened a window on higher education in Chinafor the world. University presidents and colleagues discussed innovations, exchanged ideas, shared wisdom and reached consensus. Based on the internationalization of higher education under "One Belt, One Road," the forum took the construction of a world-class university as a theme. It is of great significance for universities to face the common opportunities and challenges, enhance exchange and cooperation, and shoulder the historical mission or social responsibility of promoting the progress of human civilization.
