With a population of over 600,000，Macau has over 20,000 Jinan University alumni, which means one person in every six families graduated from JNU. It's very common to meet alumni while walking along the streets.

JNU is worthy of the name "Macau's Talent Pool", with over 2,000 civil servants, 80 percent of all media employees, 70 percent of doctors and 40 percent of financial employees graduated from JNU. The vice chairman of the Legislative Council, the director of the health bureau and the customs director all graduated from JNU, and they are playing leading roles in Macau's prosperity and stability.

Chui Sai-on, Macao's chief executive, spoke highly of the great contribution JNU has made to Macau when interviewed with a reporter from Nanfang Daily. Chui said, JNU had cultivated many outstanding talents for Macau and provided an important basic foundation for Macau's human resources development, as well as injected new impetus.
