On June 14th , Jinan University 2015 Graduate Students National Scholarship Awarding Ceremony was held in the Zeng Xianzi Science International Conference Hall, to award 42 PH.D candiates and 182 master degree candidates who won the 2015 National Graduate Students Merit Scholarship and to conferred honorary certificates to student representatives.

President Hu Jun, Mr. Luo Liangping, Executive Dean of the Graduate School, Mr. Lu Yuan research and Industry Minister , the relevant portion of the leadership, responsible for postgraduate training units and counselors, graduate students and representatives of the award-winning total of 300 people attended the ceremony.Leading the scene for the winning student representative national scholarship awarded Postgraduate Certificate.

Mr. Hu Jun said in his speech, the graduate merit scholarship can help motivate graduate students in study and in personal development. In the past four years, gratifying changes could be seen in scholarships applications. He expressed his congratulations to the 228 award winners, and hoped they could work harder, to make progress in study and in personal development, to contribute their part in social progress. He hoped that all the students could take the award-winners as their examples, to study hard for a better future.

Luo Liangping read the name list of the scholarship winners, and expressed his congratulations and his hope that they would take this as a new starting point and make more progress.

Zhu Ning, student representative, PH.D degree candidate majoring political economics, grade 2012 from School  of  Economics,  deliver a speech, in which he made his thanks to all the faculties and fellow students for their helps and encouragements, and said he would  strive  to  achieve  a breakthrough  in  research. “A  time  will  come  for  me  to ride the wind and  cleane  the  waves，I will set my cloud while sail and  cross  the  sea  which  waves”, with which, Zhu Ning ended his speech and conveyed his hope to Junior students that they could make achievements in scientific researches.

National Graduate Scholarship was established by the Ministry of  Education  and  Ministry  of  Finance in 2012, to award graduate students with outstanding performance. The grant of award is 30,000RMB for each Ph.d candidate and 20,000RMB for each master degree candidate.
