The inauguration of Regenerative Medicine ME Key Lab, a collaborative lab built by Jinan University and the Chinese University of Hong Kong, was held on February 29th.
Mr. Lei Zhengang, director of the Department of Education and Culture of the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council, gave high praise of the establishment of the Lab that the two universities created a new mode of collaboration.
The official launch of the Lab is a milestone for the two universities in their long-term cooperation. Its running can help boost research and talent cultivation in the field of regenerative medicine for Hong Kong and Guangdong Province.
Early in 2007, JInan University and Chinese University of Hong Kong established the regenerative medicine lab. And in the same year, the two universities worked together and successfully got fund from the Ministry of Education. And with 6 years of effort, the lab turned out many achievements. The lab passed the assessment conducted by the Ministry of Education expert group.
