Professor Bill Moran et al visited our university and had exchanges with us on international collaboration and career development for researchers. He also delivered a lecture titled Scientific Career Positioning.

Professor Song Xianzhong said that the cooperation between the two parties, namely Jinan University, a famous university with a history of more than 100 years, and Science magazine, an influential periodical would help more faculties of our University to publish academic achievement with international influence.

Then Professor Bill Moran gave a lecture titled Scientific Career Positioning. More than 70 faculties and students attended the lecture.

Professor Bill Moran began his lecture with a question “who builds Science”, successfully attracting all the audience’s attention. He introduced to the history of development of the magazine, and the possible helps the magazine might provide for career development. Bill Moran shared with the audience the key of success, self-evaluation for self-development, social network etc. He also analyzed the problems that researchers might encounter when pursuing their careers and the ways to deal with these problems. He said that interest was the most powerful dynamism for anyone.
In Q& A session, faculties and students asked question on life, development, core value etc. Professor Bill Moran answered them one by one with patience.

Professor Bill Moran’s speech was very resourceful, telling the audience that the Science Magazine could provide career planning for researchers.
