On December 5-6th, 2015 Urban Leisure and tourism international Forum was held in Shenzhen. It was jointly organized by our university, Pennsylvania state university, Shenzhen Oct Group and undertook by Shenzhen Tourism College of our university. The theme of the forum was "urban leisure and tourism", to discuss made relevant policy interpretation and academic discussion of the current developing trend of the urban leisure and tourism from diverse perspectives such as the country major policies, the urban development strategy, the academic research results and experience of industry forefront. The forum, elaborately planned by organizers consisted of report meeting, the team reports sharing, etc.
Mr. Hu Jun, President of our universityMr. Liu Zepeng chairman of the beautiful China, the state council deputy director of, oct group party committee standing committee, oct joint-stock company directors, president, vice secretary of party committee Wang Xiaowen, China tourism academy dean, international tourism administration data center director Dai Bing, Oct co., LTD. vice president Yao Jun,academic director of Pennsylvania state university, the international leisure and entertainment Geoffrey Godbey, as well as from Canada Carleton university, New Zealand Lincoln university, Zhejiang university, Sun yat-sen university, Nankai university and other famous universities at home and abroad scholars, China tourism hotel industry association and other well-known organization and enterprise executives attended the forum.

Mr. Hu jun said in his speech, leisure and tourism industry is the engine of national economy upgrading, and the development of this industry is of great importance to our country and its people. He hoped the experts could support the development of Shenzhen tourism college as usual, wished the cooperation between our school and the Pennsylvania state university, and that between us and the Oct group can be continuously deepen and more substantial results can be achieved. After the opening ceremony, Pennsylvania state university and our school gave each other a gift with local characteristics.

Mr. Dai bin, executive dean of the Shenzhen tourism college professor Li Guangming and the representatives and experts from political circle, academic circles, and enterprise at home and abroad, had indepth discussion on the relationship of urban leisure public facilities publicness and commercial, product innovation, recreational consumption motivation, management operations and so on in perspective of the "urban leisure and tourism trend and hotspot research" and of "tourism and leisure vacation new formats" two themes to carry on the thorough discussion of .
The meeting also held sub-forums focusing on different topics such as "leisure tourist destinations, parks and scenic spot", "urban recreational space construction and the function layout and management", "cultural creativity, urban recreation and sports leisure". Representatives of nearly 50 units such as China association of scenic spots, Lincoln university in New Zealand, the United States north Texas state university, sun yat-sen university, China academy of urban planning and design, Ningxia Shapotou scenic spots had carried on the thorough discussion.
The meeting also attracted nearly 30 media to report the forum, such as China tourism news, Shenzhen special zone daily, southern education times, Hong Kong TV, Chinese netizens, China news service and so on. Li Guangming said in the interview,  According to the needs of the development of society and era , Shenzhen tourism college will first open leisure economics disciplines in the country , research for leisure tourists behavior research, the organizational structure of leisure industry, public policy and environmental design.
