On November 23rd, the Hong Kong SAR Government website publicized list of all the 431 members of the District Council in the 2015 District Council election. 14 alumni of Jinan University were elected as the new Hong Kong District Council District Councilors.
The Fifth District Council election of HKSAR was held on November 22nd, and a total of 431 seats were elected in 18 districts in this election. District board members were elected for a term of four years from January 1 2016 to December 31 2019.
The District Councils of Hong Kong is a regional organization of Hong Kong, providing advice on public affairs of daily life to the SAR Government, and participating in regional management affairs.
The first District Council District of Hong Kong was formally established in January 1, 2000, then elects new members every 4 years. The current Fourth District Councils includes a total of 507 members consisting of elected members, of course members and appointed members.
