The Enactus World Cup was held in Sandton Convention Centre, Johannesburg, South Africa from October 14th to 16th. Our school Enactus team as World Cup team champion in China, attended the competition as the Chief Representative of China, and won the third place with excellent performance.

“Green Future”, our project enters the top 24 of the World Cup finalist

In the game, four girls of our team presented vividly to the audience a "Green Future" project. Enactus team found that kitchen waste combustion is not easy to process, but it is rich in agriculture humus organic fertilizer ingredient. By utilizing the earthworm composting technology, which is energy efficient and simple, kitchen waste can be transfered into organic carbon fertilizers. Also, the project also included multi-party cooperation between farms, enterprises and local governements, to help farms to build up innovative sales model to increase income, and achieve win-win situation.
With the "Green Future" project, our Enactus team beat the other 241 teams from from 24 provinces, municipalities (including Hong Kong) and won the World Cup China station 2015 Enactus National Finals championship, and represented China to attend the World Cup in South Africa.

After winning Enactus World Cup China champion, our Enactus team members began to do preparation for the World Cup. Before the competition, they arrived early in South Africa, overcame jet lag, kept training 10 hours a day; the players changed the PPT all night long just to adapt projected color problem sites. “As the Chinese representatives, I feel the heavy task on my shoulder", one Enactus team member said, “our team members have paid the greatest efforts, strived for the best preparation. Our university, teachers, the Enactus China, and many other people also give us a lot of support and encouragement." Eventually, the Chinese team - Jinan University Enactus team won the World Cup third place, among the top 24 universities

Besides the fierce competition, the four- day activities included a number of cultural exhibitions, entrepreneurs dialogue, future leaders forum, teacher forum, business exhibition, and leadership forum, etc.
Teams from 36 countries also showed the world their own culture on cultural exhibition. Our team brought to the exhibition the works of the famous calligrapher Professor Chen Chusheng, Professor Jiang Shuzhuo, Professor Xie Guanghui, Professor Hu Jiang, Professor Wan Ceyu. Also, through the Chinese traditional folk costumes show and national music performance, form of Chinese traditional culture, the team showed to the world the charm of extensive and profound Chinese culture.
 On the Future Entrepreneurs Dialogue Forum, there were eight face-to-face communicaiton  between business leaders and Enactus teams; the Coca-Cola session focused on the promotion of  women's economic development through the development of the enterprise; Unilever session began witha video recording what was seen and heard in Afica to explain the idea of using wonder bag to solve the problem of famine
On the guiding teachers’ forum, all the enactus team teachers sat down to had talks with organization from its own country now engaged in campus enactus development. Their talks covered issues such as better support on campus enactus team development, effective guidance to them etc.
On Action force Leaders Forum, world renowned business leaders gathered together to discuss about water, food, energy, sustainable development issues.From a global perspective, people in the above areas have achieved good results, but still face many challenges, such as economic, technology, etc.The forum invited students to express their views on the stage, called on young people to cherish the resources, establish the concept of sustainable development.

 The teams from UK, USA, Canada, Russia and other 36 countries took part in the World Cup competition. The theme of the competition are related to energy, water resources, poverty.
Enactus is an international organization composed of 2000 colleges,academics and business leaders thereof in the world.These people come from different fields share a common vision of the application of positive commercial force, practicing entrepreneurship, to create a better and sustainable world.Our school team was established in 2004.
