Professor Krishna Pillai, Padmakumar, vice president of the Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies et al visited Jinan University from 11th to 27th September at the invitation of Professor Wu Jun from Pharmacy College.

On 22nd September, Mr. Liu Jiesheng, vice president of our university met Professor Krishna Pillai, Padmakumar, and made an introduction to our university’s new progress in oceanology and related research and hoped that the two universities could have more exchanges in this field. Then Professor Krishna Pillai had in-depth discussion with Mr. Liu on cooperation between the two univerisites, student exchange programs etc.

On the next day, accompanies by Mr. Liu, professor Krishna Pillai visited the Insitute of Red Tide & Oceanology Research and had talk with Professor Lv Songhui, director of the Insitute on red tide biology and oecology etc.

On 16th, Professor Krishna Pillai  delivered a lecture titled “Marine Biodiversity of India and Marine Bioprospecting” for students and faculties of the College of Pharmacy.
