The First Lesson for Freshmen on Medicare and safety education

A lecture was held on September 16th for the freshmen to share with the new students information on safety education, medicare. The lecture was given Mr. Huang Wenlong (Guangzhou City Public Security Bureau of Panyu District Branch Xinzao town police station), Mr. Wei Ming, from the university infirmary and Yu Lianghong, from Management Office of Medical Health. The lecture was hosted by Mr. Su Mengfeng,Director of the  South Campus Security Office.
  
Huang Wenlong shared the cases he witnessed as a police for many years to give a vivid lesson for the new students from the perspectives of public security, network and bank fraud, traffic safety, fire safety and etc. He also cited the case through the University District in the past two years actually happened, and introduced the tricks thieves use when stealing, and the ten big quackery usually seen on campus. They hoped that the freshman could learn to protect themselves and take proper precaution to theft and deception.

 Ms. Wei Ming talked about AIDS and prevention of it and at the same time she introduced a number of commonly used methods of emergency rescue.She said that the knowledge of medical and health care was necessary, not only to protect themselves from disease, but also to save others in emergency.Mr Yu Lianghong introduced some of the provisions of the student medicare and terms to pay attention to,and cleared up students’ doubt on student medicare.
 The students said all the knowledge shared on the lecture is very useful. Liu ,School of Economics freshmen ,live on campus for the first time,he said that “the fraud prevention knowledge shared by police officer was very practical,and after listening I think I learned a lot.”“I think this kind of lecture is very practical. After all, we are still too young.it is very important to learn some knowledge of self-protection!”says another new student.

The lecture on safety, health, health care education is one of the activities of the new training camp in 2015.For different students,five lectures will be carried out in the South Campus in a row,aims to enhance students' safety awareness and improve their ability to judge right and wrong,and let the new students  have a new understanding on campus security, and do a good job of self-protection.
