According to the 2014 Chinese Colleges General Employment Ability Ranking, released by ATA Group and Guangming Daily on April 2, Jinan University is ranked No. 11 among all colleges in China, and ranked the same place on the Top 50 “211 University” list, and No. 3 on the Middle-South Colleges ranking list. Among the 454 colleges involved in this employment ability research program, there were 38 985-program universities, 104 211-program universities.

The current ranking analyzed five abilities most concerned and tested among perspective employees by Chinese enterprises. The five abilities are speech understanding ability, arithmetic capability, logical reasoning ability, the ability of strategic thinking and data analysis ability. Jinan University is ranked No. 6 among all 454 colleges on the speech understanding ability, and on data analysis ability respectively.
