The inauguration of T4 Student Dormitory was held ceremoniously in the new south campus on September 3rd.
Present on the ceremony included Mr. Liang Zhibin, alumnus and member of the board of trustees of Jinan University,principles of our university, etc.
Mr. Hu Jun, president of our university delivered a speech on the ceremony and expressed his thanks on behalf of the 50,000 students and faculties to Mr.Liang Zhibin for his long-term contribution to the development of Jinan University and the construction of South Campus. He said that Mr. Liang donated 2million RMB in 2006 for the 100th Anniversary  and 3million RMB in 2011 for the 105th anniversary of Jinan University, and in 2013 he donated generously 50 million RMB for the construction T4 student dormitory in south campus so as to fix the funding gap in the construction of south campus. 
The T4 Dormitory project broke ground in June, 2013 and was completed in August, 2014,covering an area of 1,429m2. The 13-storey building is of 17,353m2,has 380 rooms which can accommodate 1,520 students.
