Two Nobel Prize winners invited to be Honorary Professor of our university
Two Nobel Prize winners in Economics, Professor James Mirrlees from Hong Kong University of Chinese Studies and Professor Fin Kydland from University of California,Santa Barbara were invited to be the honorary professor of our university and the inviting ceremony was held on June 15th.
On the ceremony, Professor Hu Jun, president of our university conferred the employment letters to two Nobel Prize laureates.
Mr. Song Xianzong , vice president of our university introduced to the audience the great accomplishment the two professors had attained in research and teaching in the field of economic studies. Professor James Mirrlees, from Hong Kong University of Chinese Studies, who had been awarded The Prize in Economic Sciences in 1996 is currently the consultant of China Public Finance Institute and has contributed a lot in the research of Chinese economy. As for Professor Fin Kydland, he was awarded the Nobel Prize in 2004.
