FQS Students Embraced Chances to talk to World-famous Scientists

Students of Food Qualifty and Safety had face-to-face interchanges with two dinstinguished international scientists in the past week.

Prof. Randall Weselake from University of Alberta, Canada was on an academic visit to JNU. He is a world leading sicentist in biotechnological strategies for producing value-added seed oils and related products. He delivered a seminar entitled Engineering Oilseeds for the Benefit of Humankind to both students and faculties on Nov 5th.

Dr. Ching T. Hou, a senior scientist from National Centre for Agriculture Utilization Research, Department of Agriculture, USA visited the IS yesterday. He is President of the International Society of Biocatalysis and Biotechnology, Vice Chair of American Oil Chemists Society Fundation, and fellow in American Academy of Microbiology. His lecture Biocatalysis and Agricultural Biotechnology aroused immense interest from the audience.
