Welcome to Italy----Jinan International Culture Festival

On May 19th, 2013, Jinan International Culture Festival (JCF), which focused on architecture, was successfully held in Jianyang Basketball Court. The Overseas Students Affairs Department (OSD) of the International School League Committee and Student Union had a booth exhibiting Italian culture. It showed everyone Italian customs and culture. During the day, everyone enjoyed themselves and benefited from the festival a lot.

In order to prepare for JCF, the heads of OSD gathered their members early in the morning and decorated the booth together. They worked hard and they all felt a sense of fulfillment when they looked at their unique but well-decorated stall.

When the festival began, many students, curious about Italy, and attracted by the joyful atmosphere, rushed to the International School’s booth. What’s more, with the theme of Italy, there were some games about Italy for everyone to play. All the participants enjoyed themselves and were impressed by the Italian flat models in their hands.

In the afternoon, it was time for the most famous and interesting part of the festival--- the food show. Some delicious food from all around the world was provided in different booths. Students purchased food using the food stamps they had acquired through games at different booths during the early part of the festival. At the International School’s booth, of course there was pizza. Anyone with the required amount of food stamps could taste authentic Italian pizza and spaghetti. Of course it was popular; everyone likes pizza.

There is no doubt that it was a carnival in which everyone relaxed themselves with interesting games. Furthermore, it provided a great chance, not only for the International School to show its multicultural atmosphere, but also for foreign students to share their own culture with the whole campus.
