Introduction :
Dr. Jonathan H. Jiang is a Principal Research Scientist at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), California Institute of Technology. Dr. Jiang is recognized internationally as a leading expert in satellite remote sensing. He has authored and co-authored 180 peer-reviewed journal publications and book chapters. Dr. Jiang has been twice awarded the NASA Exceptional Achievement Medals in 2010 and 2013, for his leadership and innovation in scientific research using NASA satellite observations. Most recently, Dr. Jiang received the 2019 Caltech Edward Stone Award for his outstanding research publications related to the NASA missions. In addition, NASA has selected Dr. Jiang to receive the 2019 Exceptional Scientific Achievement Medal for his leadership and outstanding scientific achievement in the field of Earth and Space Science. He is the editor of Earth and Space Science, associate editor of Journal of Geophysical Research – Atmosphere, and the vice-chair of AMS Atmospheric Chemistry Committee. Dr. Jiang is also an inspiring public lecturer in science and has given invited STEM seminars across the globe in more than 50 schools since 2015
