Abstract:
Up to now, artificial intelligence (AI), the research of which started from Dartmouth Conference in America in 1956, have gone through boom and recession cycles for twice. The explosive growth of technology and productization, the great leap of hardware chips and software algorithm, and a sea of consuming big data and its application all contribute to the soar of AI research.

To start with the real-time control of AI terminal product system, the lecture is going to share the application of new AI technologies across the world. Take the development of robot and unmanned aerial vehicles, software algorithm and control system as examples, the lecture will introduce the research fields and related subjects which involve with the study of AI system. Meanwhile, there will be a discussion about the real-time control of the ecosystem which centers on the Internet of Things, demonstrating the process of theories application and productization. At the end of the lecture, under the current market demands and development trend, the speaker will explore the AI research realms and directions and challenges ahead.

About Chen Zhiliang

Dr. Chen Zhiliang, born in Guangzhou, the founder and CEO of On-Bright, Guangzhou Entrepreneur Talents, the Leading Talents in Science and Technology of Guangzhou Development District, Vice President of Guangzhou Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, Distinguished Professor of Guangdong University of Technology and JNU.

Dr. Chen graduated from the Department of Physics of JNU. After four years of teaching life in JNU, he obtained a full scholarship to go to the University of Florida to continue his studies and in there he obtained a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering. Later, he worked for the top semiconductor chip company in the world—Texas Instruments (TI).

In 2004, Dr. Chen went back to China to found On-Bright, which is an international high-tech integrated circuit design company integrating design, R&D, production and sales. It has subsidiaries in Guangzhou, Taiwan and Hong Kong. Currently, it is the largest power management chip design company in Asia area. In addition, the company’s products are widely applied in electronic products, communication, computer, new energy, Internet of Things and AI markets.

Dr. Chen led the On-Bright research team to deepen the research and development of analog and digital analog hybrid integrated circuit products, dedicated to the exploration of Internet of Things and the system on chip (SoC) of AI. Up to now, Dr. Chen individually possesses 117 invention patents in China and abroad.
