ABOUT WUMIN
Professor Wu Min graduated from the College of Life Sciences, Peking University in 1999. In the same year, he entered the School of Life Sciences of Peking University and studied under the guidance of academician Zhai Zhonghe and Shu Hongbing and received his Ph.D. degree in 2004. From 2004 to 2009, he engaged in postdoctoral work successively in the School of Medicine of Yale University and the United States Stowers Medical Research Institute. In 2009, he worked in College of Life Sciences of Wuhan University. He has been commitment long term to the apparent genetic control mechanism of human disease research. By using related technology of cellular and molecular biology as well as apparent genomics, he studies the epigenetic mechanisms of tumor and immune-related diseases and finds the mechanism of histone methylation modification in the process of tumor cell transformation as well as the mechanism of ubiquitin E3 ligase SPOP in the pathogenesis of cancer. Mr. Wu is now the member of the key laboratory of cell homeostasis and fetal disease of Hubei Province, and has won the second prize of National Natural Science Award and got support by New Century Talent Program of Ministry of Education in 2011
