ABOUT HERMANN WOLLNIK
As a world-renowned mass spectrometry expert, Hermann Wollnik is the inventor of non-net reflection time of flight mass spectrometer as well. In 1954, He got his PhD degree in Technical University in Munich with a grade of excellence. Then in 1964, he managed to work in University of Giessen, becoming a professor later. There for years he worked with Dodonov, a distinguished Russian mass spectrometry expert, and trained a group of mass spectrometry experts, including Professor Zhouzhen of JNU, Professor Wangyan of Tianjin University and Doc. Li Gangqiang, chief scientist of Focused Photonics Inc.(China). In 2001, he was honored as guest professor in Purdue University in US, currently he is a guest professor in the team of Processor Eiceman in New Mexico State University. Some international famous mass spectrometry manufacturers and research institutes have established cooperation with Hermann, including Aglient, Shimadzu, and RIKEN(a large natural sciences research institute in Japan), and Tianjin University. He has published more than 100 articles in international top journals about nuclear physics such as Physical Review C, and these articles have been cited for over 5,000 with a h-index 37.
