ABOUT XING XIANG-DONG
Born in Shenmu Shanxi in April 1960, Doctor in Arts, professor, doctorial tutor of Faculty of Arts in Shaanxi Normal University and distinguished professor in Cheung Kong Scholars awarded by the Ministry of Education. He was the host of the project Atlas of Chinese Dialects in Northwestern Districts, which was a significant bidding project of National Social Science Foundation in 2015. He also took charge of another significant project of National Social Science Foundation titled A Microscopic Evolution Research of the Central Shaanxi Plain's dialects in Recent Eighty Years, which was won the "Excellent". In 2015, he was elected as a cultural expert in Talents Projects in four fields.
