Awards

After working in the hydrospheric and atmospheric research centers of McMaster University (Canada) and Nagoya University (Japan) for eight years, Dr. Wu became a member of the outstanding overseas talents introduced by the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2001. Four years later, National Science Fund Committee decided to fund his research as part of the research programs conducted by excellent young scholars. He won the ninth China's Technology Award for Young Scholars in 2006, the second class National Technological Progress Award in 2013 and He Liang & He li Scientific and Technological Progress Award for Chinese Young Scholars in 2014. In 2015, he was awarded the Government Service Award by the Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (SETAC) and 17th Chinese Outstanding Patent Award. This year, he got the May 1st Laborer's Medal, and was selected one of the 10 Thousand Leading Talents in Technological Innovation. In addition, he has been selected as one of the 100 Excellent Scholars of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and National Leading Experts in Environmental Protection Technology.
