School of Translation Studies
Located at Jinan University's Zhuhai Campus, the School of Translation Studies adheres to the guiding principle of for overseas, for Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. It integrates translation disciplines and actively meets the demands for the translation talents in China's development. The school attaches great importance to teaching students according to their aptitudes, systematically teaching translation theory and emphasizing practice. It has set up a Translation Studies Center, a Translation Laboratory, a Translation Center, a Translation Practice Base and a Teaching Practice Base to assist learners. The Chinese Teaching Evaluation Network rankings for the 2014-2015 academic yea ranked, Jinan University seventh in the country.
The School of Translation Studies provides students with a platform of international development in terms of launching cooperative education programs with universities in Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, as well as teacher-student exchange programs and academic visiting projects with University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, the University of Western Sydney and other internationally renowned universities.
